Increase Flexibility with our Electro-Balance® Battery Powered Dampers
The Roto-Twist® line of cable operated dampers was recently expanded with the introduction of our Electro-Balance® line of low voltage dampers. These battery powered remotely operated damper systems are controlled by a hand held remote that adjusts the dampers through a wall / ceiling connector interface. The heart ot this system is the EB-UDD universal damper drive which consists of a damper actuator and worm gear drive. The EB-UDD can be used with MAT dampers as well as most factory and shop built dampers.
- Ease of wire routing (versus cable) offers increased flexibility with crowded ceiling spaces and provides greater flexibility to terminate all wiring connectors in a central location.
- Lower installed costs than mechanical cable systems when faced with longer cable runs
- EB-UDD universal damper drive can be used with MAT dampers as well as most factory and shop built dampers
- EB-RC hand held remote control contains an LED array to indicate damper position, a low voltage battery indicator, and an open circuit indicator for field verification of proper installation
- Remote control shut off when damper reaches a full open or full closed position
- No wire crimping, soldering, or small parts assembly required
- Wiring extension "cords" provide on site flexibility to determine connector termination locations
- Low voltage DC actuator operated with 9V remote power source
- Universal damper drive compatible with dampers with shaft sizes from 1/4"-1/2" round and 1/4" - 3/8" square
- Damper actuator is pre-wired with plenum rated cable and DC power connectors
- Single and multiple connector finished surface interfaces made out of UL94-V0 fire rated materials
- Remote control shut off when damper reaches a full open or full closed position
Our flexible systems are designed to meet your needs. Each system consists of the EB-UDD universal damper drive, MAT damper (or damper by others), a designated length of wiring, and a connector termination fixture.
Listed below are damper systems that incorporate the common finished surface cable termination fixtures. Click on a configuration description below to view the best solution for you.
