Historically, Metropolitan Air Technology’s standard RT-180 oval dampers have been available for airflow regulation in OEM plenum assemblies. While effective, these dampers posed logistical challenges—particularly in shipping and installation—due to being a standard size damper with sleeve.
Recognizing a potential to reduce packaging inefficiencies and differentiate the customer’s offering, MAT recommended the development of a custom component: the cartridge-only RT-181 damper.

Development Approach
